Most celebrations enjoy the addition of a cake as a glorious centrepiece. As with wedding cakes, each one is made to order. From birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, christenings, gender reveal and corporate events, there should always be cake!
Designs are carefully considered especially if creating something encompassing a loved ones ‘favourite things’. It is important therefore to ensure a story can be told through the cake.
Sugar flowers, royal icing piping work, careful hand painting and sculpting can all be options to include on these unique cakes.
Selecting your cake flavour is just as important as the design, because naturally it’s got to taste as good as it looks. Only the best ingredients are used including organic flour from Shipton and Mill, the finest Belgian chocolate from Callebaut and only ever free-range, happy eggs.
Flavours are kept as classic as possible, but suggestions are always welcomed. Fondant covered cakes include a layer of white chocolate ganache beneath, sealing the cake further and evening out any colour differences in multiple flavoured tiers.
Celebration cakes are finished in fondant or ganache and very occasionally buttercream (this is weather dependant).
Classic pillow soft vanilla sponge with vanilla bean buttercream and raspberry preserve.
The ultimate moist chocolate sponge with fluffy chocolate buttercream and rich dark ganache.
Luscious lemon sponge, soaked with lemon syrup and filled with zesty lemon buttercream and lemon curd.
Deliciously moist spiced carrot cake with juicy sultanas and layered with vanilla bean or orange buttercream.
Beautifully soft red velvet sponge with vanilla bean buttercream and dark ganache.
Gently flavoured coffee and walnut sponge, infused with coffee syrup and layered with coffee or vanilla bean buttercream.
Chocolate and vanilla swirled sponge with chocolate or chocolate orange buttercream and dark ganache.
Decadent rich fruit cake doused many times over with French brandy and iced with marzipan and soft sugarpaste. Sophie’s great grandmothers’ recipe!
*Please note fruit cakes need to be ordered at least 6 weeks in advance. They also cannot be included in tastings.
Other buttercream flavours on offer (season dependant) – passion fruit & mango, ginger, raspberry, blackberry, lime, salted caramel.
Please discuss any allergies or dietary requirements before booking. Gluten free options are available however please be aware that all products are baked and prepared in a kitchen which handles all the main allergens – gluten (wheat), dairy, egg and nuts. The kitchen is not a certified allergy free work space. Eggless or dairy free options cannot be catered for.
All celebration cakes are made to order and hence like wedding cakes, come with a bespoke price tag. No less time or short cuts are made to make these cakes just as special and beautiful. In fact, sometimes more focused attention is required for such artistic details.
There is a minimum spend of £200 for celebration cake orders.
Generally, celebration cake portions are cut to 2” x 2” x 5”

2. Initial Quotation
Depending on the complexity of the kind of cake you are after I will attempt to give you an initial rough cost guide.
3. Bespoke Cake Design
Should the cake you require include a lot of various elements with sugarwork, hand painting, modelling etc, then a bespoke design is necessary. This is paid for in advance and set against the final invoice
4. Finalising Your Order
Once the design has been agreed an invoice is sent and creation can begin.
Now it’s up to me to create your cake!
6. Collection or Delivery & Setup
Celebration cakes of one or two tiers require collection from my studio. Taxi’s can be sent if need be. Larger or more complex cakes I will arrange to deliver and set up on site myself, at an extra charge.

As well as cake, bespoke biscuits can be created for any event as gifts or as wedding favours. These can be made into pretty much any shape and are decorated with royal icing or hand painting to bring your visions to life.
They are a wonderful little sweet treat to give to your guests and compliment your event.
Biscuit flavours include vanilla, lemon, orange, spiced or chocolate.
